I believe firmly in the importance of science communication. I would not be where I am today if not for the work of those before me. Here is a summary of some of my outreach activities.
Exploring Your Universe (EYU) at UCLA
I am the Vice President of Exploring Your Universe (EYU), the largest science fair in LA County. EYU's mission is to share science to a broader audience through hands-on learning and inspire the next generation of scientists. The event takes place on a Sunday in November in the Court of Sciences at UCLA, and is free and open to the public. Last year's event had over 12,000 RSVPs!
